Do You Need a Gym Membership to Take Boot Camp Classes?
No, you do not need a gym membership to take boot camp classes at Project Power Gym. Classes are open to members and non-members. Anyone can drop in for $15 a class. The price is the same for everyone. If you plan to come twice a week or more, the Premium membership at $120 a month is the better deal. It covers unlimited boot camps plus 24/7 gym access.
Two people asked us this in our messages in the last month. One wanted to know if you have to join to do group training. The other asked if the $15 price was "also for members." Here is the full answer. You can see the class times and prices on our boot camps and classes page.
Can non-members take boot camp classes at Project Power Gym?
Yes. Non-members can book any boot camp or class at Project Power Gym in O'Fallon. You do not need to sign up for a monthly plan first.
Bart Pietrzak opened Project Power in O'Fallon in 2022. Our classes are open to the whole town, not just members. That makes a class an easy way to try the gym before you decide to join.
To book a class:
- Download the Project Power Gym app.
- Tap "Register" and sign the waiver.
- Go to the "Timetable" tab.
- Pick your class and tap "Book."
How much does a boot camp class cost?
A single boot camp class costs $15. A pack of 12 classes costs $150. That works out to $12.50 a class. You pay for 10 and get 2 free.
| Option | Price | Cost per class | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single class | $15 | $15 | One class, no plan needed |
| 12-class pack | $150 one time | $12.50 | 12 classes, no monthly bill |
| Premium membership | $120 a month | Less each class you add | Unlimited boot camps, 24/7 gym access, cold plunge, members lounge |
Prices are current as of October 2026. Check the classes page for the latest.
Do gym members pay extra for classes?
It depends on your plan. The Premium membership ($120 a month) includes unlimited boot camps. The Standard membership ($65 a month) covers 24/7 gym access, so Standard members pay the same $15 a class as everyone else.
Here is the math for a Standard member who wants classes too:
- Standard plan: $65
- 4 classes a month at $15: $60
- Total: $125 a month
That is $5 more than Premium. And Premium has no cap on classes. So if you are a Standard member taking 4 or more classes a month, switching to Premium saves you money.
When is a membership worth it?
A membership is worth it once you come about twice a week. Eight classes at $15 each is $120. That is the same as one month of Premium. Premium also gets you into the gym any time, day or night.
Use this simple rule:
- 1 class a week or less: pay $15 as you go.
- 2 to 3 classes a month, steady: the 12-class pack. It has no monthly bill.
- 2 or more classes a week: Premium at $120 a month.
Twice a week also lines up with health advice. The CDC says adults should do muscle-strengthening activity at least 2 days a week, plus 150 minutes of moderate activity. Our weeknight boot camps are 1 hour each, with a strength focus.
What boot camps and classes run each week?
Project Power runs 8 classes a week, 7 days a week. Each one is 1 hour.
| Day | Class | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Upper body, pull focus | 6:00 to 7:00 pm |
| Tuesday | Lower body, squat focus | 6:00 to 7:00 pm |
| Wednesday | Upper body, push focus | 6:00 to 7:00 pm |
| Thursday | Lower body, hinge focus | 6:00 to 7:00 pm |
| Friday | Athletic Burn | 6:00 to 7:00 am |
| Saturday | Small Group | 8:00 and 9:00 am |
| Sunday | Power Hour | 8:00 to 9:00 am |
The Monday to Thursday boot camps follow a split. You train a different part of the body each night. Power Hour on Sunday is our biggest class. All levels are welcome in every class. Coaches scale the moves to fit you. If you have never done a group class, our guide to group fitness formats and scaling walks you through it.
Is pay-per-class a good fit for the holidays?
Yes. Paying by the class works well when your weeks are packed. From Thanksgiving to New Year's, most people's schedules jump around. You can book a class on a free night and skip a busy week without paying for time you did not use.
If you have kids, the timing helps too. Kids Club walk-in hours are Monday to Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 to 11:00 am. That covers the weeknight boot camps and both Saturday classes. A single drop-in is $15. See the daycare page for details.
